That looks funny Walt, I think I'll make an effort to see it.
My father-in-law was recently told by one of his fellow Electraglide riders that "when you buy a Harley, your buying a lifestyle". He's now looking to trade for a Beemer

Well you have got to admit that with the poor quality of movies released lately, this would probably be pretty funny and a good one to see, Harley rider or not.
This would be a good scene in a movie. Yesterday I was coming back from a job site meeting and stopped at a store for a soft drink. As I was going in, out came this Harley guy in black leather pants, black T-shirt and what I thought were suspenders. The suspenders were actually a shoulder holster with a 9mm pistol in plain sight down here in South Louisiana sugar cane country! so I asked the man why he was carrying a pistol in a shoulder holster. For protection is what he told me and then he walked away looking at me like I was nuts or something. So I watch this guy walk out to his bike parked by the gasoline pumps, put on his leather jacket and helmet with patches and stickers all over them and ride away, trying to look like a rough biker......but at least he was protected. He was probably just a dentist anyway.
So, if buying a Harley is buying a lifestyle, no thanks.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
Speakin of people callin people names, last sept on the way to Talihina, a girl at the Arby's looked at me and the bro in law and asked "Are you guys bikers?!?" All I could manage was "Well...um...we have motorcycles." It brought a smile to my face as we sat down to eat anyways.

I dunno about the "first motorcycle movie in 30 years" thing. Worlds Fastest Indian was an excellent movie. And while it was more about the Cult of Speed, than Motorcycling, I don' think you can say it wasn't a motorcycle movie, or showed motorcyclists in a bad light.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

Let me correct that. What I was referring to were the Hells Angels/Easy Rider films of the 60s that romanticized the "outlaw" lifestyle.
