South Puget Sound Toy Run!

Anybody on the list thinking about braving the weather to make the toy run this Saturday?

Meri and I are planning on giving it a shot.

For those not familiar, It is a fun charity ride. Several thousand bikes stage up at the local Sear parking lot. At 1:00pm, a huge mob of bikes cruise into town, around the capital driveway, stoping at the lake. They shut down the roads, people line the route and chear. It is one big social bike parade.

weather's supposed to be good this weekend, too.
I still haven't repaired my bike since last "fall".
I wasn't plannin' on it, but seeing how Denny's twistin' my arm...
Boss said this morning that we will close the shop for the ride, so.. I guess I either fix up my bike... Or ride one of the Demo's...
Uhmm... that Triumph Rocket III with the heated grips might sound nice

You know, I never realized how close you were to Whidbey. My Dad bought a house on the island when he was in the Navy. As it turns out, he moved south and later I was born. Now we rent the house out and we go up and visit some times. Next time I go up, I will have to stop by. Actually, when I graduate from college, I may be moving up there to that house. Who knows.

Yup... supposed to be real nice tomorrow, Meri.
Just went out to the shed and dragged out the spare windshield. Uhmm... HHmmm... doesn't quite fit. Oh, it fits, but I don't like the mounting hardware. Have two others... but don't care for them either.
Scrounged headlight trim and a turn signal lens offa one of the spares out back, and I know I have a spare generator cover in the garage. Will probably throw all that stuff in a saddlebag and swap it over at work in the morn.
Then again... yes, I'm partial to my beloved XS.... but the roads might be wet, and... I'm still a'scared!
The boss is paying me to go...and I do have the option of several demo's.
(Rocket III, Speed Triple, Bonneville, Scrambler, Victory 8-Ball, Assorted Ninja's...)
Then again... me decked out in my full leather regalia on a Vespa scooter would be sure to turn all the lady's heads.
