Hey Kat,

The FORUM hides the actual B'days for ALL MEMBERS, anti ID theft technique, but it's remembered and shows up in the CALENDER on the persons's actual B'day! Or you can view the Calender and find member names and their B'days!

What I was referring to was the date in their profiles... Unless that particular date is the new default... didn't the forum at one time have everyone born in December of 69?

Banning of genuine members

Hi folks

Just looking at the UK site where I'm registered as well and you lads seem to be banning a few genuine UK members from this site.

Is it a mistake or are you trying to rid yourselves of us Brits

Hey TomB,

I don't believe we are intentionally banning the UK members! Perhaps they oopsed their confirmation emails similar to another recent NEWBIE , and so until they are able to respond/click on the supplied link in the confirmation email, then they are just denied posting privileges!

Drop me a PM with their usernames, and I'll look into it! If you have their REAL email addys, include them also, and I can verify they provided the correct one, and if not, correct it and then RESEND their confirmation email to them!

It was AlanB who got banned again, turned out it was his internet provider who was the cause, trying to mask his identity to prevent spammers probably, LOL

Thanks for your help and patience with us computer numpties.

We at the UK forum have just had our first spammer, they're everywhere.

Public Apology to the folks down under!

Hey there fellow members in Aussieland and NZ!

In my almost futile attempts to thwart SPAMMERS, I inadvertantly placed a BLANKET IP BAN on folks in the 203.##.##.## area. I had received a SPAMMER from a location but it was like the Philippines or Taiwan and didn't realize that the Internet Commision had used the same series 203.##.##.## for other locations not proximal to the desired SPAMMER location that was banned! So....the NZ folks like PGGG, and JustinCase, as well as perhaps folks in AUSSIELAND may have gotten BANNED inknowingly!

It has since been fixed and removed, and they should now have full access again!

Dpotter, this may be why you hadn't heard or gotten any replies to your post about the Wild Turkey stoppers!? You may want to BUMP that thread so they can see it and hopefully respond to you!?
