  • Pathfinders Bike Sold

I know that you all know that Planedick bought David's bike. It's a beautiful bike and I know he will treat and take care of it just as David did. It makes me feel good that it's going to one of the XS11 guys and it made me feel even better when I found out what Dick does for a living. As some of you know, David was a Cutting Tool Specialist and worked in this line of work since he was 16 years old, starting in his Dad's company.
Again, I would like to thank all of you for being such a huge part of David's life. He loved you all.
And I would love it when Dick comes down to pick up the bike, that whoever wants to come down and meet and greet to do so at our house. That would be really nice.....Love to you all!!!Cynthia (Pathfinders wife)

        Beautiful country???

Ge thanks Cindy, I didn't know you thought of Califronia as "beautiful country". I probably won't use Dave's bike as a daily ride, but weekend group runs where it will certainly turn heads at all the biker hangouts. There are several popular spots around here where people take their bikes for people to see and spend the afternoon looking at other's machines. The "Ageless Rocket" showes her age and I still get amazement from others when they find out it's nearly 30 yrs old. Jaws really do hit the pavement. Had several HD guys who I passed on the road show up later and was amazed at how fast it was and then really taken aback when they find out it's so old. He He, gonna be fun. Gonna keep it nice and shiney for show and ride the old rocket for the daily thing.

            Cynthia,

I am new to this board and have been following the posts about David's bike being sold. The response that you've been getting from this fine group has touched me and I just wanted to acknowledge it. I also have been wanting to let you know that my thoughts are with you... because I know how hard this all is. I am a widow myself, for 2&1/2 years now.

My thoughts are with you and I hope that meeting these folks and seeing David's bike go to a loving home will help you in the journey you have been forced to embark on.

            Take care,
            Meri

Meri, thank you so very much. These guys and gals are wonderful, they were David's extended family and now they are mine as well. He loved them all and had a great time everytime he got to be involved with any of them. All of the XS11 group has touched my heart and my life in so many wonderful ways. And I am so thankful that David's bike "Pathfinder" is going to such a wonderful person. That bike was his passion but it's going to a man with a passion as well. And that makes me very happy and I know it would make David happy. Thank you again for your thoughts and mine with you as well....Cynthia
