  • Special thanks to Diver Ray

My 78 XS11 now runs as new as it looks. My sincere thanks and appreciation to Ray for helping me with the carbs. All thats left is to put on new tires, and it will look like new. Has 712 original miles, stored for 26 years. When the tires are on, l will take some pics of the bike and show them here...stay tuned.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

I've GOT to see that one.
I live in Cupertino and work in San Jose.

Are you planning any other work days?

700 and change... Sounds like it's time to put on a few miles. Time to get the odometer to match the age. Sounds like fun....
Or we can trade,, straight up. Miyamis only got around 39000 on her......

            newmaac,
If you see the bike, your SWMBO will KILL me!! When I was working on it, I thought it was just out of the crate!!
It really does look that nice! I know he needs tires, and the DMV before he can really "ride", but I hope to have him join in on some of the one day short rides we try to put together.
