Hey All!
Wondering if someone can help me out with a few questions regarding my XJ1100's cdi box?
My box is done, I had it rebuilt and I think it may have seen the end one more time. I don't want to go that route again!
So, I was wondering if I could use a 78xs1100e tci, pickup coil assembly, engine coils and ballast resister and trick the bike into thinking it is a 78e and run?
Or can a XS1100 box fit the XJ1100?
Finally, I have been told that I can use a different Yamaha box with the pigtail plug to wire onto my 82 and that it should do the trick.
I look forward to any opinions and or comments!!
Cheers!!!!!

That's why we stated you NEED to get the other mechanicals for the timing cover shaft end, so that the timing plate can be rotated to change the advance during changes in RPM, and also vacuum variations....light vs. heavy loads!!
