  • 1100 standard carb diaphragms

Hey all, Would anybody happen to have a set of diaphragms laying around collecting dust.

My dad has an 80G with nearly 65k miles on it and is in bad need of some new diaphragms. I have a link to 3 of them, But could use anywhere from 1 to 4. So if you have some please post up.

With my dad having that standard, and getting rides on it when I was little, I knew I had to have one of these bikes, thus me buying my 80SG I can tell my dad still wishes he could ride his, hes constantly wanting to borrow mine

So anybody willing to help an XSive Family out would be greatly appreciated.

Are the existing diaphrams beyond repair? If not, can use Yamabond #5 and a cheap, disposable childrens watercolor paintbrush to evenly spread the Yamabond #5 on both sides of the diaphram rubber. Repair will last at least another 3yrs.

Can buy the Yamabond from Parker Yamaha for ~ $7.00 and a set of paintbrushes for less than $2.00 from the convenience/grocery store. Total cost was less than $10.00.

I had 2 diaphrams with pinholes but "repaired" all 4 diaphrams when I completely rebuilt the carbs from the 81LH last winter. Only used about 1/4 of the tube of Yamabond so I have plenty to "repair" the carbs on my recently purchased 79F

Wow, Carb parts are expensive. I do not have any misc pieces for carbs right now. But may I suggest a complete set of carbs off of a 78e std. Speedo had 24,000 miles crashed in 1989 been sitting in a dry garage ever since had no gas tank, carbs were dry. A nice low mileage set . Picked this bike up couple of weeks ago. Price includes shipping in continental USA $100.00 . andreas
