Well, I have the bug, BAD! I just purchased another XJ. Anyway this one is an 82 with 30k on it. Picked it up for $500. Its a good looking bike that basically needed TLC. It has sat for 4 years and the crank was full of the dreaded gasoil. I have already done the carbs and changed the fluids. Anything else I should be looking at before I start it? Motor wasnt frozen but I threw some oil down the holes just to loosen things up a bit. Spark plugs were a little rusty but not bad.
While we are on the subject of the XJ, I am in need of the right rear shock. The one on the bike has a torn boot and is leaking oil.
Anyone have one they are willing to part with, or a pair of shocks that will fit. They don"t need to be air adjustable.
