  • Crikey! What a way to go!

Looks like the Aussies are having a string of bad luck! Just read online about the infamous Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has died in a freak accident involving a StingRay!

They have a 10" long serrated barb that has poison in it, and Steve was diving in the Great Barrier Reef, swimming over the ray, apparantly got too close, spooked it, in defense it curved it's tail and stabbed him under his ribcage and directly into his heart!!

By the time they had gotten him aboard and to shore while receiving CPR, he was pronounced dead!

As SWMBO says, when it's your time, it's your time!

    Rest in Peace, mate!

Always enjoyed a good laugh at the crazy croc hunter, but you hate to see him go like that. Like they said though he died doing what he loved. We should all be so lucky. He'll be missed.

It is strange how fate catches up with you!!! Also ironic he would be killed by a very gentle natured animal after messing with croc's and poisonous snakes. The news said this is only the second ever confirmed death by a stingray in history. When it is your time fate will find you!!

Always hated the annoying crazy aussie.
The world is gonna be a bit more boring without him I guess...

He shoulda stayed in the swamps. I think he was out of his element in the ocean.

                Too bad. RIP.
