Yep... whoever did that was nuts. Think of all the power it mustve drained... doubt those were LEDs. And the programming... and timing... and how many miles of wires went into that thing... and... geez.. I'd rather re-redo the wiring on a guzzi than something like that! But looks way cool.

(stole that one from I-dont-know-who)
I actually say a newspaper article about this. The guy who did this has been doing it for several years ... this past year being the most popular due to the internet. The town actually asked the guy to stop the display because of frequent accidents on the road in front of his house.
I was impressed to see the beer commercial ((bud or miller ... I can't remember)) that had a section of the display as their holiday commercial.

From what I heard the guy got several requests from commercial/public interests to build displays.
The great part for me... He used two "development boards" for the Spartan product the company I work for builds. The programming didn't take him as long as you would think.

XS1100 SF Bob Jones worked on it!
I read that also ray.... said it was really fairly easy to program. It also said he ran a small radio transmitter to hear the music on headphones or a radio, so he wasn't blaring the neighbors out, and it stayed in time with the lights. but I imagine the neighbors trying to watch TV... would look like a strobe light in their front room. That would be my luck..... trying to keep up with the Jones' on my Christmas lights, and that S.O.B. would move next door to me! lol
