I've been looking on ebay but I can only find the people selling the whole shabang. The speedo, tach, and message center. I guess I will continue looking. It's ok for now I can just try to judge my speed from the tach.

Andreas Wiess is a member in Washington who has parted a few XS's. I don't think he had an XJ, so it may not do any good. Do a "search", as Maximan put a 160 speedo into his XJ. It seems to be an easy operation, and all you lose is the "push button reset" for the trip meter. Maximan slotted the plastic case, and now uses the "older" twist knob for the reset.

I read that thread more than once and it was very cool. Even though that mod seems very easy I was hoping to keep it stock, but i guesss it wasnt meant to be. I found a '77 xs750 cluster on ebay I guess I'll watch that for now and keep my eye out for anything else.
