I just heard of a 1980 xs1100 midnight special for sale. Can any one give me a ball park figure of what it is worth? The guy i spoke with said it rund good. Any thing special to look for.

I stole mine for $500 in (55,000 miles) normal condition. Kelley Blue book retails them at $1,510.
Mine smokes quite noticeably. The filter for the drain in the airbox has been missing for 'who knows' how long.
All I've really done is clean it. Swapped a few parts to preserve the OEM pieces, mostly the exhaustPat Kelly
