  • California XSives...

...HamJam will be in Modesto on Thursday night. How many of you could make it there on short notice? He and his wife have a room, but we'll probably meet at a restaurant. I plan to be there, but have school the next day. Pat, are you in? Uncle Spot?

I'll post details when I know them.

sure. My shop is 1 mile (exactly) off hwy 99 - if you'd like to meet up there... which restaurant is everyone thinking about? Let me know I can see if we need reservations or not.

Hamjam called me today and will confirm details on Wednesday. He is getting a room at the Courtyard by Marriott in Modesto. we will probably meet at a restaurant in Modesto. There is a Chevy's mexican restaurant there, but there may be a suitable place nearer the hotel. Pat, any ideas? The Courtyard is right off 99...

The Olive Garden shares the parking lot with the Courtyard. A nice place to eat (by my standards)

the Olive Garden is just to the north of the Courtyard, and there's a Black Angus just to the south... there's also an Outback ~1/4 mi away (to the south)
...that area is commerically zoned so there are literally dozens of places to eat...

Okay...6:00pm on Thursday, August 10, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Modesto...we'll find an eatery nearby, and a brew or two for those with a short trip home. My cell is five-five-nine-two-eight-eight-one-eight-two-three

It's a ride, but I'll try and head over from work. If I leave at 4:40, I should be there before six.

A trio of California XSives met in Modesto to break bread with HamJam and the lovely Anne, aka SWMBO. Thanks to Pat Kelly and Ron Veil (Uncle Spot) for representing. I'll see you guys in Tahoe in a couple of weeks.

Anne took some pics which will be posted, uh, whenever...
