Hello,
I have a 1981 XS1100 special (owned it for a month or so now), and am finding the king and queen seat a little uncomfortable. I am tall, and would prefer a flat seat so I could move back comfortably and also so that I would sit higher off the ground. I also like the flat cafe racer look rather than the cruiser look of the special. I love the engine and bike... just think a seat change would make me happier.
Given the special's "V" shape, would I have trouble finding such a flat seat which would fit? Does anyone have experience with this? I haven't searched around the bike wreckers here but may do so for a seat off another 70's/80's UJM. alternatively I could have the existing seat re-upholtered so that it is flat.
