  • XS11 wikipedia page

I was looking through wikipedia.org recently and was surprised there wasn't a page for the XS11. It wasn't even mentioned as a model in the main Yahama page until I edited the page to include it.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_Motor_Company_Ltd.

I thought about creating a page for the XS11, but I'm not even sure what to call it. XS11? XS1100? XS Eleven? What do you think?

Well, I would say XS Eleven, 'cause that's how it appears on the side covers.

I can create the page so that if you type in "XS11", "XS 11", "XS1100", "XS 1100", "XS Eleven", or "XSEleven" it will direct you to the correct page. I'm hesitating on creating the page only because I've never created a page at wikipedia and I don't want to screw it up. But give me a couple of days and I'll mock something up. Once it's up, feel free to edit, correct and expand it where ever it needs it.

Okay, I've started the page. It can be found here:

Feel free to edit and expand. Let's make this a good page we can be proud of.

I changed debuted to debued. This may be Australian spelling but I feel it's the correct spelling. Feel free to change it if I'm wrong.

Not to split hairs, but I thought it was an 1102cc? And, was the midnight its own model?

I consider the Midnight Special a version of the Special. Interesting call. I do like owning a bike I consider a limited edition.

I made a couple of the changes suggested so far. I want to break down the models section into the standard, special and Maxim, but I need a bit of info to do it. What are the differences between them? What are the wheel sizes of the special and the Maxim? How would you describe the different models?

Feel free to add them in. I'm not the only one who can edit that page. Or if you want to give me some extra info on them, I'll do it.

I've done more work to the page, though it's mostly behind the scenes. There are now 11 pages that redirect to the main page, depending on how you type it in:
