He's pretty bullheaded about sticking with calling it an XS1100, just because he's got some sketchy registration paper that calls it that. I wonder if that's the kind of thing you get from those private registration services I've read about.

I emailed the guy, to ask what the VIN was. He says its a 3J6. Funny part is that he said he didn't want to post the VIN so it couldn't be used to fake another title. I then asked him if the VIN on the title matched the VIN plate, as well as the engine and the headstock weld. Never heard back from him.

It's rather humorous that he didn't post my questions to the auction.

There's no way that's a 3J6 from the factory, unless the Yammy guys were drinking wayyyy too much sake the night before.

              Buyer beware!

Did you guys see the pic of the title he posted? While we all know that is not an XS, seems the DMV is alittle confused.

Too bad I don't have room for another bike. My first bike was an SR250, still regret getting rid of it.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

Looks like he didn't want to add my comments to the Q&A section.

Maybe he was smarter than all of us.

Take a gander at the end of auction, he just got $1,025.00 for the 250. I can't blame him for mis leading he just went by the IL. title.
There's always a way, figure it out.
