          As an XJ11 owner, I'll still get some enjoyment out of this book, correct? After all, it is for the most part the same bike/engine.

            good book!

            I am about 2/3 through my copy... very informative... I don't know how he remembered all those trips in such detail... he must have had a journal? I so wish I could ask him some questions, for example how he painted the Samsonite luggage...

            PS he certainly pulls no punches in the book... his opinions come through loud and strong! Long live the XS1100!!

                  Bob Jones passed away??

                  I bought his book from his website about a year and a half ago, he personally sent me a few e-mails for help with my coils, book was great, if he's gone we will miss him, he was old school and one of the last of the hands on guys!!

                              I got mine for my birthday... saving the first read for our bike trip in June.

                              1979 XS1100SF "Old Man" bought by my Dad brand new in 79, customized in 80 with Vetter, Standard tank, and touring seat. I inherited in 02 when Dad passed. Been riding it since 09. No resto, bike is a survivor...
