        Thanks, Just what I needed.
        1978 XS1100 E work in progress. Bought in 1998 19xxx miles.
        1979 XS1100 F running. Bought May 2010 30xxx miles. 145 mains, 45 pilots, Ivan's v-stack mod, pods and 4-2 Jardine, 25.7mm floats.
        1979 XS1100 SF missing tank and seat. Top end dismantled.
        1989 xt600
        1984 Honda vt500
        1983 Honda cm250

                exellent

                anyone have scematic on the carb hoses from the petcock,one is vacuum the other is fuel my hoses are not numbered anymore. 78-79 xs1100sf

                  Well, first, there was no "SF" in '78 (only an "E"), and the "SF" is the Special, which has an Octy, not vacuum-operated petcocks.

                  If you are trying to connect lines to the Standard-type petcocks, the port closest to the front of the bike is the fuel line, and the rearward one is the Vacuum line. This is explained on page 155 of the Clymers manual.
