  • Ken Leach (Newbee)

It's with a very heavy heart that I have to post this. While on our journey to attend XSNorth 2014, my friend Ken had lost control of his motorcycle and struck 4 guard rail posts on Hwy. 28. Unfortunately, this afternoon, Ken lost his battle and succumbed to his injuries. Ken was my riding partner and friend.

You are and will be sadly missed.
    Rest In Peace Ken.

      Wayne,

I know this loss sits heavy with you. It does with me and I had never met Ken. Witnessing the loss of someone close to you, delayed or not, allows your mind to play tricks on you that somehow the outcome could have been different only if...

My prayers go out to you and Ken's family and you take care of yourself.

            In the wind forever

I had first met Ken Leach on the North Bay Rally of 2011 and instantly Ken and myself got in stride together as if we had known each other a lifetime I believe its because he was that kind of Guy, easy to get to now....

I had just gotten an email on the XS forum from Ken a few days back wishing me well with my recovery and his hoping to see me at next years rally.....well, sadly it cant happen. I would like to pass on my regards to all his friends and family at this time who now are at a complete loss in sorrow and heartbreak.

This happened at what normally is a time of great joy and comraderie, the "XS Rally".....and we are left standing here trying to carry on as hard as it is we must; Ken would have it no other way.....Good by Ken.... In the wind forever.....
