  • My father died 12-27

My Dad, age 90, passed away on Monday, December 27. He was a good man.

He particularly enjoyed my rally stories and I would recount the trips I've taken on my bikes. Dad had wanted a bike for many years, but my mother would not agree and he mentioned, over the years, that was a regret he had.

Hard to believe all the history he lived through, 1920 - 2010.

    I shall miss him.

Sorry for your loss at such a joyous time of year.

Sounds like your dad was a heck of a man, as you said, he lived through so much of the history we only read about, a very interesting and world altering period of time. And a full 90 years on top of it! If I make it to 70 I'll be surprised!

                    Father

Unfortunate part of living, however I am pleased for you that your dad made it so far.
Even though my dad ( 1911 ) left when I was 14, we did have many conversations about bikes. He rode for many years.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I bet he would be Proud that his son did what he wasn't able to do with all your bike trips and memories from traveling. Your Dad's generation was indeed the greatest, living through tough times, wars, all of which made the true American spirit. Hope your Dad get his wish in Heaven and rides...................xs1100 of course.................regards, Mike in Sun Diego

I am very sorry to hear of your loss Jerry, he lived to be 90, he must have been in wonderful health to have made it that long. My condolences to you and yours.

I lost my Dad in 1994, he was only 64, he was also blessed with great health until the leukemia struck him down in the time frame of only eight days. Ive wanted many times to have a chance again to toss out questions to my Dad as well as hear his uproarious laugh.
