Private Messages - Can't Send?

This forum allows you to send private messages directly to one or more other users. You can view existing and create new messages from the Message Center accessible from the upper right of the screen once you are logged in.

There are some limits with private messages that I want to make you aware of. These limits apply to all registered users, though users in the moderators and administrators groups have higher limits.

1. A single private message may only be addressed to 5 users at most.
2. Your private messages follow normal email rules; you have an inbox, sent items, and trash folders.
3. You are only allowed to have 300 messages across all of your folders.

If you are unable to send a private message, check to see if you have a large number of messages in sent items or trash and delete some or all of them. During the migration from xs11.com to xs11.club, a number of users have run into the private message limit. I am guessing the old forum software didn't enforce any limits, hence some users on the new forum software were immediately and massively over the limit.

If you are having issues getting under the maximum message limit on your own, an admin can help. We can't see your private messages, but we can see how many messages you have by folder.


We have the option to:

1. Delete ALL your private messages
2. Delete just your SENT items

As you can see, we don't have very granular control but we can quickly purge lots of messages to get you going again.
