You can use Paint to resize. Open the image in paint and then go to Stretch and Skew. You have to do it by percentage, but if you know the original pixel size this shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks. Sorry if my old one offended. Didn't mean any harm

NP, I'm no prude and I certainly don't mind a little TnA. But the old one was not entirely worksafe, so to speak.

IT can only be 65 pixels by 65 pixels, and only 20,000 bytes in file size, preferably less! Open the photo you want to use in Windows Paint, and then check the Image tab, Attributes, be sure the radio button in on PIXELS for units, and check the size. You can use the SHRINK/SKEW feature to reduce the image to the size that will fit into the 65 x 65 window! It might take some math to help you figure how much % to shrink the image down to in order to get to the 65pixel size!!

Once you have it resized, then "SAVE AS", give it a new file name, and then check the Attributes again, and you can see IF it is smaller than the 20,000 bytes size needed!! IF it's too big as a BMP, then you can save is as a JPG and it will be compressed!

Then you can upload it! T.C.

              CRAZY

Okay! I have tried everything and it will not get small enough. Is there a web site that I can go to and get an Avatar?

                www.flickr.com

Upload your photos and they have a tool that you can make an appropriately cropped avatar for just about any other site.
