Does anyone have a directional, headlight & horn control for a 1979 XS1100SF for sale?

XS650, XS750, XS850 all the same. It’s possible you could have to move a couple of wires. Reproduction is available and I understand they’re fine.
MikesXS and a few other places have the repops.

What is wrong with the one you have? Most of them can be resoldered unless there are other problems and they work like new. I clean the contacts with deoxit cleaner and resolder all the wiring connection points and they generally are as good as new. Is that not possible for you at this point?

I have one from a XS 500 that looks very similar, brand new. Problem is postage may cost a bit, you can have it free if you pay the postage HTH

Thanks for your reply, I resoldered the 3 wires middle is hot and the chocolate colored wire goes to the left directional and the dark green wire goes ether right directional. Soldering the wires was difficult for me even with taking the block they attach to out , but I eventually got them reattached. Put it all back together and still as soon as I turn the switch on it blows the 10 amp fuse for the directional circuit. Bike will turn over fine. Any suggestions where to go from here?

Sounds to me like you have a direct short. You may want to double check your soldering. You may have two wires connected together. Just thinking out loud here not saying you didn't do a good soldering job. It is easy for solder to run together from connection to connection, especially as close together as they are. Might want to take a multimeter and check your wiring end to end for continuity from wire end to wire end at connections. Might give you some indication as to where the problem might be. Not saying that the switch itself may not be bad. Could be. One way to be sure is like you are trying to do in acquiring a replacement. If the replacement blows the fuse then you have to trace out further to find the short.

I asked him today, he said he will check as soon as he has a chance.
