  • A lot of parts gotta go!

After thirty or so projects over the last dozen years, I’m aging out of the hobby. I’m giving up wrenching and focusing more on my writing. (You can find more about that endeavor in my signature below.)

As you can imagine, I have a ton of XS11 leftover parts. I’ve sold about 200 in the past year or so, but still have a lot left that I’d like to see gone by the end of this year. (Which is only a couple of months away!)

You can see a few of the parts listed here on eBay.

Of course, XS11.club members can contact me privately to save eBay fees. Let me know if you don’t see what you need listed. I probably have it.

    Thanks, Bob

Good luck on the sale of the parts Bob,,,,,there is always a need by someone for old parts as these ol bikes age. It used to be easy to find parts, but as the motorcycle boneyards dissapear it is harder, keep on writing,,,,Mike in S.Diego and Pa.

Probably a long shot but any chance you have a pair of petcock filters for the standard tank?

I checked in my shed and I do not have the filters alone, but I found two standard petcocks with filters.
Probably not what you're looking for, but since I had them out, I listed them on ebay this morning for your inspection: Yamaha XS XS1100 xs11 Fuel Petcocks - fuel taps. Standard models | eBay

And you can view the rest of my parts here: rucksack.grunt on eBay

Good luck with your search! Bob

HI 11XS ROOKIE, I just bought these on EBay for an xs 1100,,,,fit right up,,,use a vacuum line from the engine and they are good to go....I tried to fix my old petcocks,,,but too rusty and worn, so I took a gamble for 11 bucks each, new and they work just fine. The holes are about 34mm center to center so if that works for your tank its an easy fix....good luck, keep us informed, Mike in S.DIego and Pa

Ranger_xs1100 Thank you for taking the time to check! Yeah you're right I don't think those petcocks will work. I currently have those filters from Mike's XS shoved in the holes but I'm not a fan of having no reserve especially considering I commute an hour one way.

Socer4m Thanks for the link! I'll check them out but I'm skeptical too. I bought a similar pair and the flow on them was awful and choked out the engine. Maybe I'll give them a try!

HI Rookie,,,the petcocks I listed do work,,I used them on my xj1100 with no problems,,,,,there are several positions, prime, reserve, flow BUT THE PETCOCKS NEED A VACUUM TO THE ONE OUTLET FITTING OR THEY WILL NOT work on reserve or flow,,,,if you turn to prime they should flow fine without the engine running,,,,easy to check, get a cup, put it under the petcock and filled gas tank and turn to prime,,,,also can hookup a vacuum pump to the vacuum fitting outlet and turn to reserve or flow{run} positon and it should flow....keep us informed,,,Mike in S.DIego and Pa.
