  • FREE: '78 Front and rear rims with decent (older) tires Indianapolis Indiana

Have a set of '78 E rims sitting around that are free to fellow XS11 forum members. Older but barely used set of Kenda Chalenger tires mounted on the wheels. Date coded 2000 front, 2004 rear as I recall. No dry rot and they pass the "fingernail durometer" test, but a personal decision whether you want to ride on older rubber like that. I did, for a season, though our roads around here are mostly dead flat! I'm on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

What size rim is the rear?
    1980 XS1100G

I identify as a man but according to the label on a package of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four!

It's a 17." Like I said, stock rims off my '78 E (that I converted to tubeless type rims).

Gotcha. Wasn't quite awake yet when I posted, headed back to Indy as I write this. Wouldn't mind coming across a 16x3 along with the other parts to do the conversion, there's that old school place down on the east side in the ghetto where I could probably get it.

Cycle Recycle II? I gotta say I wasn't particularly impressed with their operation. Came across as a cluttered rat hole where they themselves struggle to locate/identify parts. My old moto junkyard in Barton NY (K.R. Salvage) was many times better.

I'd only been the Cycle Recycle a couple of times, they where able to help me get what I wanted both times. Rims are easy to get, it's the shipping that makes them expensive.
