  • Need left and right petcocks 79 xs1100

    Im searching for a left and right petcocks 79 xs1100. I also need the front brake light switch. Please let me know if you have any for sale?

          Yeah, those petcocks above are what I am using on my 80 XS. They work fine, just be aware that the off position will be opposite one another. No real way around that. Not a big deal though. Also, I think that because the "on" tube is higher than stock, it causes an issue starting the bike on the side stand around 180kms into a tank or so. To solve that you can go with the right petcock on res, or start on the center stand. Not a big deal, a little quirk. Make sure you cap the vacuum ports that are un used. I bought mine on 4into1.

            I had noticed that even when my tank ran dry on reserve (luckily right in front of a gas station) that there was still about a gallon left in the tank. The reserve tube which is the shorter of the two rides too high to get all the usable fuel out of the tank. I am going to remove the plastic filter and cut off the tube but leave just enough to reinstall the filter. This will add to the reserve capacity.
