    NOS Standard Gas Tank FS

    "New Old Stock" Standard Fuel Tank

    Has been in storage for a long time, still in box.
    No rust anywhere on the tank.
    The paint is checking on the top. Looks like it reacted with the foam someone put in the box at one point.
    Excellent, straight tank with no rust.
    Looks like it may have been mounted at one point, it definitely had petcokcs mounted on it.
    No sending unit or cap included.

          To bad it's paint is damaged, unable to restore original color. I have a NOS tank never put on a bike still with original coverings on opening has been painted maroon, not Macho Maroon, I have never found anyone who could duplicate color. Just to paint a tank right is $300.

            I have a NOS midnight special tank in the Yamaha box with the tape over the openings. Just can't bring myself to use it.

              I would be putting that one on one of my bikes and would be repainting the one I replaced. That is if the one I replaced needed the paint job. Of course I do my own painting, wet sanding and polishing.
