XS 11 standard and special seats

i have a seat that was removed from a 79 (F) model and a new/never used Texavina seat for a Special model. The F model seat was removed from my current project which came with factory cases and windshield (they’ve been sold). The special seat was a previous project that went in a different direction. I would take $125 for either one and include shipping anywhere in the lower 48. PM me if interested. Thanks!

Clarification on the “Special” seat. It was purchased to go on an 80 SG model. So it should fit either 80 or 81 models.

The “F” seat is in very nice condition. No tears, scratches, scuffs in the vinyl. The pan has one spot where the paint is wore down but otherwise in very nice shape.

Too bad your project for the Texavina seat wasn't a 79'. I'd have you boxing it up and sending it to the Burgh.

if I read BBQ's post correction correctly... His "special" seat is for an 80G (standard)"

If so, I Copied this from Crazy Steve's interchange guide at this link: Interchange Guide: Seats, Grab Rails, Sidecovers, Taillights - XS11.club Forums

"Note that the 79 seat is very similar to the '80-81 standard seat, but it doesn't extend back quite as far. It is possible to exchange these two types ('79 Special and '80-81 standard), but the inner fender needs to be swapped to slightly relocate the TCI."

So that seat might work for you 2wheelfun.

I have an inner fender from an 80 std and it looks like the boss for the TCI is in the exact same location as my 79 special. Maybe it's the difference in the metal rear fender hump that interferes.

I have not actually attempted the seat swap myself... Crazy Steve states that the TCI relocation is "slight" ....Hopefully others here who have tried the swap will comment one way or the other.

Sorry for the confusion. The 80 model was an SG. Not G. My bad, sorry. It was a special. I sold the side covers off of it to Cajun. They looked like this:

                1980 XS1100 SG
                1979 XS1100 F
                1982 XJ 650
