have not been on this site for quite some time, but have some parts i will be selling, sold all the XS 11 that i had.

i have a 81 venture 5.8 gal. tank i want to sell, 300.00, no dents, surface rust inside from setting the last 5 years, lock with no key, no petcock, i had it on one of the xs11 i had, it worked fine, i have a 2 part epoxy mix for the inside of the tank that i can let go with it, cant remember the name of it, let me know if you are interested
    thanks

May surprise ya' Ben.....especially with the Venturer's tank capacity and it's VERY limited one yr. production. Also capacity correction is 6.3gal.

just thought i would give yall first shot at it, i bought it from a guy on here for 200, and 50 shipping plus the caswell tank epoxy was 35 bucks plus shipping, i looked a long time for one of these and they are impossible to find and i have had it for 5 or six years, i have that much in it, so if ya want one here it is.it will go on ebay if no one on here wants it, just trying to get rid of some bike parts i got in the shop, cleaning house.

5.8 gal is what i ran across on some spect sheet for the XS 11, you may be right on 6.3, i just knew it was around 6 gal somewhere, been out of the XS11 for awhile went back to my first love, harleys. main reason i got out of them, i could not make any money on them, they are a great bike and i had fun with them.

5.8 gal. is capacity of the Standard fuel tank(78-80). The Venturer tank(which is what you stated it was) Is one of a kind like rest of bike was and is 6.3gal. capacity.

it is most defiantly a venture tank, the shape of it is deferent and i had a standard tank beside it to compare with so it is a 6.3 gal. then, thanks for the correction, oh when i got it it was still the stock paint, dark blue and silver side panels

You should grab the tank, Brant, it matches your Venturer-er-er and doesn't have bullet-hole stickers on it.

Well...I'll just keep the tank that's on it. Besides, the bullet hole sticker on each side of tank carry a 'story' with them.

Spoke with a guy from the U.K. He said that all of the standards there had the 6.3 gallon tank. Said that they were many available there for little money. One of our guys on here bought one not long ago. $300 is a bit much for any tank that has rust.

honestly, if the price was better, I'd snatch that thing right up. been looking for a venture take for my build. but shipping will be alot as it is, so I can't justify 300 for a slightly rusted tank PLUS the shipping.
