  • Left over bike parts. Located NNJ

Hello I bought a spare xs1100 to get some parts off of and now, the rest I would like to sell. The bike was totaled and the forks were bent, but these parts you could never tell were in an accident.

Here's some of the things I have left:
    Grab bar
    Tail light
    Swingarm
    Swingarm axle
    rear wheel axle
    Ujoint
    Air box
Ignition + tank cap + helmet lock with 2 matching keys
    Coils
    Regulator

Here is a picture of some parts. If you'd like specific pictures please let me know.

Id really just like to clean out so shoot me an offer on the lot for the best deal. I can sell and ship onesy twosys but really I'd like to clean out before fall.

Hello I still have these parts and would like to clear them out. I really dont want much for them and if there's no interest they're getting scrapped.

Judging by the pic these parts came from an 80 or 81 Special. It helps to sell them if people know what year and model they came from. They aren't all the same.

Thank you sir I wasn't actually sure of the year however the bike (parts lot when i got it) did have a circle headlight so calling it a Special surely lines up.

On the coils does it say "For Use With External Resistor"?

That must be a 81 Special then. An SH. The XS used an external ballast resistor with 1.5 ohm coils that had that printed on them. In 81 they went to the 3 ohm coils and deleted the ballast resistor.

I would be interested in those coils if the price is right. I have an 81 project here that needs a set.

                  Locks and Keys

May want to include the lock for the left side cover if that is also available. That would make a complete kit.

Sadly I never got the side covers. Here's a pic of everything I have for the locks and keys. Locking and unlocking mech. work on all 3 devices. Keys are factory Yamaha.

Those are definitely 3 ohm coils. You can tell by the one high tension wire tunnel that's shorter than the other.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

                        Hi Mike,
As the key only goes in 1/2 way for the side cover I have always thought ANY XS11 key would open the side cover. ??

                          Phil,

I'm pretty sure Mike is talking about the actual lock (mechanism) itself, not the key used to unlock it.

I agree Prisoner6 however the topic was "matching set" which is what I was responding to. The three parts shown need to be matched in order to use a single key however any side cover lock will work with that key IMHO.

I just went out in the mancave where I have an F and a G parked. My key won't open my brother's side cover, and his won't open mine. Even though they don't go all the way in it does appear that those side cover locks are in fact keyed to the ignition key.
