The 78-79 head have these valve diameters: Intake 36MM, Exhaust 31MM.

The 80-81 is: Intake 38MM, Exhaust 32MM.

It is a 1978-79 XS 1100 head.

Don, when you say "new", does that mean new as in NOS, or "new" as in freshly machined?

I am thinking that with the title NOS and the whole Brand new never installed, and even the valves are not installed would be a good clue as to whether or not it is New vs Freshly machined.

New, never installed, never machined.
Comes with new never installed intake and exhaust valves. If someone can text me their email I'll give them pictures that can be posted here.

Wow! This is something that you don't see ever - a brand new 35 year old head. Do you have the other hardware - springs, retainers, keepers?

No not new but I have several used heads with those parts if needed.
