Vetter Windjammer SS (w/bracket and harness)

Hey guys, I'm a new XS owner, looking to get this old girl rolling again on the cheap. I got the bike for free from a friend who didn't want to store it anymore.

I have a Windjammer SS I pulled yesterday, in pretty good condition. The windsheild is cracked off about halfway up, but the fiberglass, lights, and plastics are in great condition. Just a scuff or two.

I have the bracketry to attach to the XS as well as the harness that goes between the faring and the bike.

Looking to get some funds to offset the new parts the bike will need to be roadworthy. I don't know what these things are worth ($200?), so let me know what you're willing to pay if you are interested.

I also have a sissybar/luggage rack I want to get rid of as well.

The biggest trouble with selling these, if not to a local buyer, is that shipping is prohibitively expensive. If you have a Greyhound bus station near you and your buyer, it would be one of the cheapest ways to ship. It gets there when it gets there, though, because it depends on space on the bus. I think it cost me a reasonable $60 to get one shipped via Greyhound from Michigan to Ohio.

I wish I could help on the value of these. I have a couple myself and am thinking about letting one go at some point.

Ben I have had the same experience. $68 via greyhound from San Diego to San Antonio. Took about 4 days.

Thanks guys. I have it listed on the local craigslist as well to see if I can get around that issue. I'd probably sell it for pretty cheap just to get some cash for brakes, but no interest yet.

Monies are low in the motorcycle fund, I wouldn't have started this project normally, but... free motorcycle.

Labeled an SS but is in reality a Windjammer IV and will fit a lot of other bikes.
