Interesting. On the Lockhart oil coolers, there are two different part numbers, 702 & 712. Both say they fit all XS1100's. Yet, the top one says for Specials. Always wanted to put one on, but could never justify it's use with my riding.

      The difference was the

oil cooler itself. One was a three tube cooler, the other was a two tube cooler.

You can see the difference in the pictures the guy put up.

Also of note was the heavy oxidation and pitting of the plate and special bolt that holds it in place. They all went for more than I wanted to pay.

Strange that Kerker make an oil cooler kit, seeing as you can't use a Kerker 4 into 1 exhaust with an OEM Yamaha oil cooler. Or maybe that EXACTLY why they make an oil cooler kit... their plate that bolts to the engine must be thinner than OEM!

I also don't like the idea of every time you change an oil filter the whole plate is disturbed as the whole plot is held simply on a longer oil filter housing bolt. OEM plate stays bolted up.

Anyway whatever, I really wanted to point out to be aware that you may have issues with oil cooler fitting if using a snug 4 into 1 exhaust.
