I bought some new-in-package fork seals off eBay, and it turns out they will work on an xj, not an Xs. These are the Honda cr80 seals that Axel figured out work well on an xj. Here is the thread: http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27715&page=2 its post #18. Like he stated, there is also a dust seal in each pack that you won't use. Please read the thread to make sure they work on your XJ application.
Each pack does one leg. I have 2 packs, so enough for one bike. I believe I have opened both packs (maybe just one) but they are of course unused. Both packs are OEM Honda, not aftermarket. One pack looks older than the other. I will post pics of the other pack tomorrow, as they are in the shop. The part number is on the pack.
Anyway, my local dealer wanted $20+ per seal so that's why I went to eBay. I have $30.98 into these seals.
Since I have no use for these, I could A) put them in a cupboard and throw them away several years from now, B) wait for someone to mention they need seals for their cr80 (unlikely, since my friends are all fat and wouldn't fit on a cr80), or C) GIVE THEM AWAY FOR FREE ON THIS GREAT SITE!
Lets do that. I'll even cover the shipping (continental US). Outside of the con 48, its on you. Whoever gets these, I'd like you to make a donation to this site. Maybe that'll get me into good graces with those of you that don't like that I "chopped" an xs11 that was headed to the scrapyard, haha.
