  • XJ 1100 (parting out)

I'm parting out my XJ1100. It has served me well for 6 years, but the problems it's throwing at me have become to much. I'm repairing it more then riding it.

The gauge cluster is a complete mess including the speedometer and sensors. The engine runs fine but not the transmission. Second gear was in really bad shape. I attempted to repair it but never put the bike back together to do a test ride. I would say the engine is probably scrap.

That being said, there is still many good parts on the bike including:

-outer engine parts (panels, covers etc. or anything I can remove without to much effort)
    -signal relay switch
    -carbs
    -rubber carb boots (surface cracks)
    -air filters
    -handlebars
-4 into 1 aftermarket exhaust (baffles have been drilled out, sanded, unpainted)
    -front and rear signal lights
    -seat
    -headlight
    -mirrors
    -oil filter (new in box)
(and pretty much everything else that I may be missing)

    I also have:

-new white wall tires still in there package (fits the xj1100 and possibly the xs?)
    -4 LED signal lights
    -tear drop mirrors
    -tail light/license plate mount
-speedometer currently mounted on the bike but never used (KPH)
-tachometer (2:1 mechanical, not for XJ's)
-28" drag bars with risers (mounts in the XJ's original riser holes)

Parts will be shipped from Ontario, Canada. If you're interested in anything, I'll be happy to take a detailed pic of the part so you know what you're getting.

Here's a link to a few pictures of the bike and parts.

-The shims? You mean inside the engine? Sorry but it's to much work getting at them.

-I have a local buyer for the exhaust already.

          -PM sent, on the shocks.

          Update:

I stripped every working thing off the bike, and sent the rest to the scrap yard. I have 3 boxes full of good parts now. If you guys see anything you like, let me know.

I'm getting quotes of $500+ for the shipping alone. So I think shipping it is out of the question.

They make an aftermarket exhaust for the 1100. Same one as I have, alot less money.

My bike never had crash guards, however I still have the headlight with housing and the chrome yamaha part. I'd like to get $30 + shipping for those parts. Shipping shouldn't be more then $20.

Also I'd just like to say. I'm getting an overwhelming amount of PM's and emails about these parts. I'm replying to them everyday. If you sent me a message and I haven't gotten back to you within a few days it's likely that your message was overlooked. Please send it again.
