This is a needle in the haystack I found for my project that I am dropping.
This seat did fit on my 78 standard, but was tight where the seat padding hits the tank, and did not cover the CDI box completely. I determined it is a direct fit for a special. What I am saying is that it will work for either, but the front of the seat is squished (technical term) against the standard tank.
I have not found this seat ANYWHERE on the web to gauge price. I am going with $250 because It is in such excellent condition, and can not be bought anywhere else.
Since I do not have a special, to verify my above claim, I will accept a return if I have misspoke.
