  • Vetter headlight free - u pay shipping

This headlight was on the bike when I got it, unfortunately the bike was dumped at speed and part of the headlight was ground off.

The front bezel is ground down, but you could probably use bondo to re-build the ground away part if you need a Vetter headlight. I know at least one of the filaments light, but I'm not sure if both the high and low beams work.

The headlight is free, first come first serve. You pay shipping. If I don't get rid of it in the next couple of weeks, it's going into the trash...

It looks like it wouldn't fit in a flat rate box, but I'm pretty sure it's under 5 pounds.

From the USPS web site, they show a 12"x12"x6" package at 5 pounds would cost $12.66. It might be a little more or less, but that's my best guess without going down to the post office. If you have an amount you don't want to go over, I can make that call when I go down to ship it.

If you want to send me your address, I'll ship the headlight and you can pay me after you get the headlight (and I won't ship it if the shipping goes over your limit).

If you want to do that, email me your address at petersg_99@yahoo.com

I'm curious to know how that bezel got ground down like that. That area is usually protected by the fairing.

When I got the bike it didn't have a fairing. It looks like it wentdown and slid under a truck or some thing similar, the handle bars were pretty bent up and the freeway Peg was ground off one side.

                Hi,

I'm interested in trying my Venturer naked, and from what I understand, the bucket for the rectangular headlight doesn't separate from the fairing to be mounted up on the ears which ARE present, but folded in for clearance.

I have a feeling I'll revert back to the fairing, but this would be a way to try naked with minimal investment. I don't understand the mounting on this light, though. I know it's originally intended to be mounted in the fairing, but can you shed some light on how it mounts? I'm sure I could make whatever work, but the easier, the better. Thanks.

It mounts with two bolts through the sides, you open up the bucket and slip them in from the inside.
