    1980 tail light Free - u pay shipping

    I replaced the tail light on my 1980 standard XS1100 and need to clear out some space in the garage.

    If you want/need a tail light, this one's yours for the cost of shipping.

    I did have this tail light re-chromed, unfortunately they didn't do a super job with the re-chrome job.

    If I don't get any takers in a few weeks, it's going to the trash...

      Thanks, but I had to spray the inside of the back shell with flat black paint to cover the rust the chrome shop didn't get off. Overall it looks fairly good, but I was really disappointed after paying $500 for the chrome to have it look as poor as it ended up (They did the fenders, tail light, handle bars, engine crash bars, and the sissy bar, the tail light came out the worst).

        Holy snap! You probs could have bought all of those parts off ebay in decent condition, and then some for that price.

          That's why I was so disappointed. It's kind of tough to just leave the parts after they're done too. That's why I'll never use the company again, unfortunately there's not too many plating companies in the Phoenix area, maybe 3 or 4...
