  • XS11 Speedo cable - new

Yamaha part # 4W1-83550-00 New cable. Please measure your old one and be sure this is the one you need. It is 3' 3" long from end to end including the tip of the rotating section at the speedo end to the far end of the bolt-on section.

It supposedly will fit a XJ11 but it's about 3" too short

$10 + actual shipping cost, you tell me how you want it shipped.

    PM works fine.

Your bike needs 10M-83550-00-00. It fits the following:

    1980 XS1100LG SPEEDOMETER
    1980 XS1100SG SPEEDOMETER
    1981 XS1100LH SPEEDOMETER
    1981 XS1100LH SPEEDOMETER
    1981 XS1100SH SPEEDOMETER
    1982 XJ1100J SPEEDOMETER
    1983 XV500K SPEEDOMETER

The one you have is a good number, but is doesn't break to any bike.

Hi Marty, Yes, 10M-83550-00-00 is the number I used to get the cable that did fit the XJ11 properly.

Above I printed out the number that's on the Yamaha tab that was around the cable but if you add two more zeros to the end changing it from 4W1-83550-00 to 4W1-83550-00-00, the XJCD Yamaha Cross reference shows:
      XS1100LH 1981 1100 XS1100L Midnight Special Street
      XJ1100J 1982 1100 XJ1100 Street

Even though it references the XJ11, it does not though have the proper length for the XJ, it's about 3" too short. It does fit on each end perfectly so it bolts/screws onto the hardware just fine, it's just too short.

So if someone measures their cable and it comes out to 3' 3" long, this is the right one for them.
