    1978 XS1100E Part Out

Parting out my '78 XS11. Some stuff is already gone, but there is plenty left! The motor does not turn, reason unknown. The front end, some of the carb parts, side covers, controls, and CDI box are sold. Pictures and many more NOS and used Eleven parts in my ads here - search for XS1100:

Send me a message or call 479-304-1216.
All domestic calls answered if I'm unavailable - sorry, land line only, no cell.

    Thanks for looking!

What kind of shape is the fuel tank in as I may have a interest in that? Also interested in the tail light and maybe the passenger foot pegs. You can PM me on here and let me know conditions and prices. Thanks, Bob

        Hello prothec,

Actually both fenders have mud-flaps. The front flap did an excellent job of keeping road debris off the front of the motor and pipes (I had both fenders on another bike), and the rear is especially useful when pulling a trailer. It won't win any Concourse awards, but will save picking bits and pieces of highway out of the dirt traps when clean-up time rolls around.

        Cheers,
        Warren

              Bob,

The tank has 2 dents. The worst is a 4" sharp edged, 1/2" deep crease across the top of the ridge at the right rear upper edge of the tank; it would have to be straightened instead of filled because it is on the body line. The other is a 3" across, 1/2" deep impression on center just in front of the seat. The interior has enough surface rust that it will require removal before it could be used; there are no soft spots or obvious flaking. Probably a 5 out of 10.

The tail light body has minor but obvious chrome bubbles and surface specks (the specs should steel-wool out), but is straight and complete except for one screw; the lens screw hole is broken out, but I do have a nice new NOS lens if you need one.

The pegs could use new paint on the mounts, but the rubbers are soft and good; no damage.

$40 for the tank less emblems and hardware (probably have to engineer a box due to size), $10 for the tail light assembly with the old lens, $15 for the new NOS lens, and $10 for the passenger pegs.

              Throttledemon,

Sorry, all I have are some aftermarket signal bodies - I think they are new, and not from the parts bike. The bike originally had a full fairing, so the stalks that attach the bodies to the fork tubes are missing. $5 per lens assembly.

Shipping will be what ever U.S.P.S. charges; Parcel Post or Priority is up to the buyer.

If anyone wants pictures, you will have to PM me an eMail address.

              Thanks!
