  • XS bikes an parts to the needful

Well it is time to give all my stuff away. I just don't have the time to do the rebuilds and fixes I intended to do. May as well pass them on to anyone who can pick them up They are located near the small city of Nelson, BC. Canada.
My beastie is the 81 XS Special. It was running when I shut her down one cold fall day and I wanted to swap engines and do a rebuild as it was getting a bit tired. But....time flies. Anyhow, the other one is a 78 Midnight Special with the vetter and bags. Third one I'm not sure of as I bought it strictly for parts out of Cranbrook many years ago and never did too much with it. I have all the boxes of miscellaneous parts from them and there are 3 engines. You can PM me on this site for any details that I may be able to recall - hit and miss sort of thing ya know! It's been a slice! Especially riding out of Yellowknife one fine hot day!

    Pictures here on photobucket.

While I would like to own some of your parts etc it is over 500 miles one way so no dice for the parts you have listed. There never was a 78 Midnight special so you have some things wrong. You might try offering it to Andreas who does supply many quality parts to XS owners everywhere. Anything usable will benefit members and riders of XS 1100's everywhere he ships.
Pm him on the site or email him at andreasweiss at yahoo .com. You have to of course fill in the blanks or add an ampersand as I do not want him flooded with junk stuff. I am pretty sure all of the parts anyone can use will be made use of if you contact him. Phone number for him is 250 four nine five 3445.

      Bikes are gone but not!

Yes in all likelihood I have the wrong year of the Midnight as I just purchased it for parts and such and never registered it. Andreas has let me know that he will take all of the bikes, and as he is very close to Nelson, I will let him sort them all out. This way, as you have stated, the parts will remain in the XS world instead of some bike scrap yard. I really do love the XS bikes and want to see them in existence for many years to come!
