    81 Venturer gas tank for sale

    I have 2 of them and only need one, so I am putting the other one up for sale. It is in really decent shape with some rust inside it not much but some. And for those of you that will ask, Yes its a 6 gallon tank. It came off a running parts bike. it has been sanded down some and primered, but could use some more before you paint it. Has gas cap and key. And as soon as I can find them petcocks too. I don't know what to ask for it so make an offer. I will try to get pics up asap.

      I have been searching for one of these for months for my 79 XS11 Special. I'd be more then happy to take if off your hands.

        I don't know if it will fit a special, Maybe someone from here who knows more than I do can answer that question.

            it will fit a special but the gas gauge doesnt work with special instruments
            hopefully your handle bars will clear the bigger tank
            the special seat doesnt fit well the standard tank
            if you use a standard seat then you need to move the TCI
            then the side covers dont fit right.
            and you'd have to get a standard rear fender so the tail light is in the right place but it wont bolt on to the tail section of frame.
            so yes the tank will fit but nothing else does after that

                I have had some offers on the tank but it seems that they low, so I would like to get $100.00 plus shipping for it. I found the petcocks and the float mechanism for it. It also has the gas cap and key. I have look at ones on ebay that are going much higher than what I am asking for mine without the petcocks and float and gascap and key.
