Not a big deal this is how it is with these old bikes I clean KZ1000 900 carbs all the time. I have even seen **** brake on the cleanest of carbs. Yes it was not what the guys said and only the outside have been clean. Still a good carbs set with no broken or repaired float post. These carbs are still getting harder to find. With out having to replace a carb body. **** i will clean them myself if i have the time.
Sorry you took it personally. You asked for input,
whats up guys not clean? to much some feedback please
      we gave it to you.

We were all expressing empathy that you were lied to by whoever sold the carbs to you. However, If you know what your doing, knew what the inside looked like, and posted those on here as being clean , then I am not sorry you took it personally.

Another point to be made is that some days there are three times as many lurkers as members on this site. If those who know, do not point out what is and what is not then the lurkers or more inexperienced members may waste their money thinking that these carbs are a premium unit. Personally I do not care if you are offended by what has been said. Easier to say it now than to a new member who just bought dirty carbs.
If you have already cleaned them then maybe your technique needs some brushing up on. I would rather deal with a broken post as I can see that before I buy it. Frozen needles, jets and the other parts scare hell out of me.
PS I know from my own experience that swearing or profanity does not make it past the site word nanny, so cleaning up what you say may help you with a sale.

ok I was quick to say they where a clean set, from all the old carbs i have had they are clean on the outside. I had no first hand knowledge and was not by any means deceitful! The guy said they where cleaned I did not take his word for it so i took the bowls off and took some photos like you suggested.

              We believe you Mr D!

Nobody who was not on the up and up would have posted pics of the inside like you did.

You might try your hand at cleaning them a bit, it would only help your sale chances. At least it cannot hurt to CLR them or soak in white vinegar a bit to remove some of the scale.

                Whoa Dude!
Go back and read the second post, (by you, in YOUR thread), and ask your self if you asked for opinions or not.

I was simply pointing out that there are people who may be looking at buying the carbs who may be lurkers or inexperienced. They may need the info to make a decision to buy your carbs or go to the next guy.
Maybe read my post again and see the words "IF" you have already cleaned them. I never said you did or did not!
I also pointed out that I would rather not deal with frozen jets etc. Big Deal...True fact...
I never once said anything to sound like you were ripping off anyone. Any who read the thread will know what I was talking about.
As for the swearing and profanity, well all we see is a bunch of four letter words shown as ****, so we get to fill in the blanks ourselves. Point is that you won't get a higher price acting like a ****!
Now for the get off my thread type comments. This forum and any thread it may contain belong to all the members and lurkers who may see it. You act as though it is your own personal, "paid for" ad in a newspaper or something. Get over it.
I do not doubt that the carbs would be good once they were cleaned up and set up for a particular bike. The work involved is what would subtract from your price. Once you have them cleaned properly and know the jets etc have been removed and every thing else is done, Then you might get your asking price or even more.
Like I said before I do not care if you are offended. Your attitude on this thread shows me enough to know I would not be interested.

Do the slides/needles move freely? I've bout had it with the set I have and am looking for a replacement.

Rasputin, what would a fair offer in this condition be?

Again! Once it is posted you do not "OWN" that thread. It will go where it wants and you "DO NOT" have any say in it! Hijacking a thread if far different from replies that add to info, or inform of another method, or offer different solutions.
I see nothing that is wrong with posts on "your thread".
