For a 79 Special, this was taken off the bike when it
was brand new...Needless to say it's in "MINT"MINT"MINT" condition
Abolutely no scratches or nicks on it. The chrome looks
like it's show quality. Taking offers for anyone who's re-viving
a bike to new condition.
NOT driver quality, this thing is "show"quality and is a no-pick item.
IF you were able to order one thru Yamaha, this is exactly what you would receive
and would expect to for it being a new item.
It's so close to NOS, the only holding it from that description is that it's not wrapped in plastic
Will pack it like it was my dearly de-parted Mom's dentures
so when it arrives it be in the same condition it is now in.
Did I mention it's in "MINT" condition???

Hello, I recently(July 2012) started riding and am doing so on a 79 xs1100 special. if this is what I think it is(could be wrong), its for the passenger to hold on too? I have been given this bike alot of the TLC it has been missing. Now that it is in decent riding condition, I am looking to replace and add some of the pieces that are either corroded or missing all together.

Do you have a pic of this and what you are looking for out of it, I have no idea what its worth. Can this be mounted in conjunction with Saddlebags? Will be adding these in the spring.
