I picked up another XS 11 this one had suffered from lack of oil and bent a rod. I think its a special but I'm not sure it has a lot of good parts on it I will start a new thread for that bike. As far as the rest of the yellow bike the parts are fair game. It is still a roller I still have the motor, carbs, foot pegs, center-stand, bars, wheels and some other stuff. I will do an inventory this weekend sometime, in the meantime if you need it ask.
Also between the two Bikes I have a pair of side covers. The battery side has a broken locking tab but is otherwise fine. The fuse box side is flat black and missing the badge but is also in good shape.
does anyone know if a xs1100 rectifier will work on a xs750.
the plugs are possibly different but no reason it shouldn't function properly. a reg/rect is a reg/rect (for the most part).

In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
It looks like you have enough wires.
The three heavy gauge whites are the three output legs of the alternator, the red is feed from the regulator to the battery, via the main fused power supply to the bikes feed circuit.
The tan and green go to the feild coil, and black is ground.
You might want to ohm the field, since if it is different, one bike to the other, it will affect the charging voltage, one from the other.
The XS11 field coil should read 3.5 ohms, +/- 10%, so see if the 750 reads the same. If so, I'd say your're good to go. CZ
