          Taken from the add...

"this auction is for a set of what i believe to be a jardine speghetti exhaust system. They came off of a 1980 yamaha xs1100, but i believe they will fit a 1978 thru 1982 xs 1100. This is a complete setup. It includes: Headers, mufflers, and crossover pipe. It has no scrapes, no holes. These will polish up very nice. These pipes are no longer made and are very hard to find in this condition. The last picture is not of these actual pipes but is just to show how they look on the bike.please look at all the pictures. Us bidders only."
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
          1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
          1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
          1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
          1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

Would they be a direct bolt on for my 11H which is a standard equipped with a special exhaust from factory.

              hi Nubian,
When we tried the spaghetti on my H it would have required rerouting/changing the oil cooler lines. So while not a direct bolt on certainly not too difficult to make it work. And it looks really cool.

My question is if the Jardine system was different for Special versus Standard, and if so which one is this.

Good question! the only difference that I know of between the two is that the Standard exhaust extends past the rear axle and the Special is shorter and does not.
I still would like to know, so I sent him an email and awaiting a reply.

The special exhaust has a little bit of a kick up in the rear. The foot peg brackets on the special even angle up some in the back and the exhaust follows that.

Don't know if the Jardine follows that though cause I always thought that they were a universal exhaust.

It may all be in the headers, but the system I have on my SH now is more of a standard system. I had to make brackets to mount it to the exhaust hangers. From what I can tell the slip ons are Jardine, the headers are stock off a Standard I believe.

You can see the angle Nate mentioned and the bracket I had to make here..

This gives you the overall look, and how the exhaust goes mroe straight back than a typicla special system...
