I'll mention what I found on the XJ I'm rebuilding.... The PO had a W/S installed, but rather than trying to clamp something to the aluminum risers, somebody made some 'adaptors' for a conventional round mount. These attached at the joint between the riser and the 'handlebar' in place of the trim plug and bolt that threads into the end of the bars. Just a simple piece of 1" round aluminum bar stock about 3" long with a hole drilled through it's center for a long 6mm bolt. This sticks out of the riser and gives a place to use a 'standard' mount.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

I have N2595 National Cycle DX light tint with quick release brackets for XJ that I am not using since going to WJ5.
Used it one year. Is this what your looking for?
