    Hmmmm

He has a stock seat for a 79SF he's asking $250 BIN, so I bet his reserve on these pipes has to be close to if not more than $500 (and prolly worth it to the right guy) Just sayin'

Their perfectly worthless, pieces of junk, I would not bid on them.

Seriously, they look awful nice. Just alot to rich for me, with shipping by the time they sell they will exceed the price of a complete bike for me.

Not impressed at all! The guys states in his description that international shipping will be higher. OK, fair enough. I send him an email requesting a quote so I know what I'm going to be up for and after a couple of days sweating it out,
            Here's his reply:
            Dear eveready1100,

sorry i think its too big to ship there

            - westcoastcycleparts
What a cop out! It's just an exhaust system! I know of people here who've had whole bikes shipped over for $900 so what's the f@#@ing hassle with a set of pipes?

Considering the Standard system that sold for $1000 or so, this one went pretty cheap by comparison. Less than a new aftermarket system.

                    Got 'Em

Well, after working on the right side for like 4 hours, I finally have them cleaned-up to an almost "new" condition. But for a couple of very small hardly noticeable dings, these pipes are in "mint condition"
I'm very happy with them, even with all the cleaning, I'll have some of the nicest original Special exhausts around for a for reasonable price (compared to those re-production imports that cost an arm & a leg)
Here's a couple of pics of what they look like polished-up

I'll prolly hang onto them for a future acquisition cause you never know what the pipes will be like...

OR, I might assemble them together and hang them from the ceiling in my living room
as a sort of mechanical sculpture....They're that nice and it'd really be sorta cool to sit back and admire the beauty of them and what they represent...The coolest UJM ever made back in the day that is every bit as cool now as it was then
