    79 xs11 special parts

I have a 79 xs1100 special that I'm parting out. The carb, seat, gas tank, whole front end and various parts are gone already.
the wiring harness is 92% intact.

I'm selling the engine whole so if you want an internal engine component youll have to buy the whole thing.

The two side covers are in real good shape. They're painted dark forrest green. the one that locks with a key needs the little piece that goes into the lock reattached.

I also have the front end of a 79 xs11 standard to part out too.

Post a reply to see if i have what youre looking for.

How much for the speedo gear off the front wheel on the special? Will the headers off a special fit a xs1100 standard? mine are rusted bad.

I'm not sure if the headers will fit but they are gone already along with the speedo gear.

I may have a set of headers from my 80 sg - I believe they will fit. I bought a replacement exhaust from Andreas. One header pipe is a bit blue'd but they all polish nicely. Shipping to Florida may be a bit much? Interested? Send me a pm.

Do you have the plug wires, and a round speedo? If so how much? I'm located in GA 31324. Thx

Taillight/turn signal assembly? I want a spare to hack up for an LED conversion.
My Special is as old as I am.

Nope.... not without tweaking/bending the connection between the muffler and collector, and even with that they won't fit right...

I'd take the whole assembly off your hands, if it's in good shape other than that lense. Everything from the fender up. I want to experiment with various ways of setting it up, so I might have to do quite a bit of hacking.

Do you have a rear rotor left on the 79 special?

                              Hi Tech,
FWIW, all XS11 brake rotors are identical and will swap (except the slotted ones from an 80+ where the slots in the LH front slope the other way but I don't think the pads give a damn about that.)
Also the rotors from the front of a '77 & newer XS650 will work but NOT the rear, it's the same smaller diameter as the XS750/850)
