  • Galfer Steel Brake Lines Buy one Get One, November 2011

I just bout a set of steel brake lines for my XJ1100 to replace what I think are the original set of brake lines on the bike. I needed to buy a whole kit, so they weren't part of the sale, but Tim gave me a great deal anyway!

Thought there might be others looking for a winter project. The sale is good until the end of November 2011. Click here for the flier or go to http://www.pashnit.com/product/galfe...lines.html#top

Hope someone else finds this useful.

Curious if you still have the OE linked brake set up on that XJ. If so , could you give a description of the lines you received , ie how many, length, and do they replace any of the steel lines with hose?

    Thanks, Terry

I think that the brake lines I have are original. The brakes still work, I just want to be sure that will continue. They said they would build the brake line kit for me some time early this week. Terry, I'd be happy to report back when I have the new lines.

It might be a while before I actually install them; I'm considering rebuilding the master cylinders, but it looks like Yamaha discontinued the rear kit for my bike and I have not yet looked into alternatives. The brake kit I ordered is for a 1982 XJ1100 Maxim.
